In vitro study | Yohimbine(Antagonil) is used as a mydriatic and also in the treatment of impotence. It is also considered to be a drug. Yohimbine is a presynaptic Alpha 2 adrenergic blocker. Yohimbine exerts a beneficial effect on erectile function by blocking central α2 Adrenergic receptors, acting on parasympathetic nerves to increase the release of norepinephrine and the rate of excitation of cells in the noradrenergic nuclei of the brain. |
